HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Our Story
In 2016, Mrs. Oreva Mathilda Egbi walked into a school in Delta State with one thing, a burden she could no longer carry alone.
She had seen what happens when girls are left without the language, support, and protection they need. So she built a platform where every girl could be seen, heard, protected, and equipped to lead.
What started as a single school visit has grown into a movement that has touched over 8,000 girls and children across Rivers, Bayelsa, Lagos, and Delta States.

OGACI was founded by Mrs. Oreva Mathilda Egbi in Delta State.
2017
First citywide conference on child safety and abuse prevention.
2018
School outreach expanded into Rivers and Bayelsa States.
2019
Radio media campaign took the message beyond physical events.
2021
Mental health and emotional support workshops expanded.
2022
Programme presence established in Lagos State.
2023
Strategic collaboration with NSCDC for girl-child safety training.
2024
She Rises Empowerment Program launched with grants and training.

Smart Girls Safety Series unveiled and Vision 2026 activated.
